love stories about clients

#LoveStories about Clients

#LoveStories celebrates the good people who make a difference. Tell a story about someone who has made your life a little lighter. Better yet, share that story with them.

We are moving into a gig economy. More and more of us are working from home. As an entrepreneur, I am grateful for my clients. They trust me with their dreams. They help me live the life I love.

Clients make our everyday, a good day. Share a story about a client who has changed your life.

Share your story. #sharethelove

The Clients Who Taught Me

Starting out can be tough. You don’t have the experience you need to prove yourself. But how do you get it unless someone gives you a chance?

My first experience in self-employment came when I lived in Peru where everyone except me spoke Spanish. I taught English at a university but decided I wanted to teach privately as well. Although I had been a teacher for a few years, I was young and had never run my own business.

I met an English teacher who wanted to learn more English to help her be a better teacher. She couldn’t afford my services so asked if she put together a group of teachers, would I teach them. Of course! She put together my first group teaching contract outside of my work at the university.

Every weekend, we all gathered around her dining room table and I conducted English classes for English teachers. From there, I went on to work with different groups and individuals. I have learned a great deal about being an entrepreneur since then and will always be grateful to those amazing teachers who helped me get my start.
