A follower is the woman at the front of the room saying exactly what her audience wants to hear. She is nothing more than a follower wearing a leader’s skirt.
A leader is the woman at the front of the room saying exactly what needs to be said, whether her audience wants to hear it or not. She respects her audience. She values her audience. She says difficult things with intelligence, kindness, and generosity.
A leader is the woman in the room who stands up and not knowing how she will be received, agrees with the leader at the front of the room. She puts herself on the line for what she believes in. Standing up and speaking her values is an invitation to the audience to follow her.
